What's cookin'?

Since getting married my cooking skills have really taken off. You're just going to have to trust me though because I get meal preparation anxiety. (If there is such a thing.) If I were to have someone over for dinner it surely would go wrong so I usually stick to cooking for myself and my husband. I use Pinterest to get all my recipes (I use Pinterest to get all my everything) I've found I can pretty much successfully cook anything if I follow a recipe. There are only maybe 5 dishes that I have repeated during our marriage otherwise we have something new every night. I take pride in that. It's rough though not knowing how things will turn out each night. I'm getting good at keeping within a budget too which is harder than it seems.
My current issue is that we have recently had chicken prepared various ways for countless nights in a row served on pasta or rice and a side of salad and green beans or corn. There's just enough variety to not go crazy but not enough that I was satisfied. I told myself that this week we would go on a chicken fast. No chicken at all. So, I bought some London broil, ground beef, sausage and pork. Tonight I went out on a limb and made some tastefully seasoned pork in the crockpot and stuffed cabbage rolls. To quote Rachael Ray "Yum-oh!" I was pleasantly surprised. And yes we had a nice big spinach salad to round out our carnivorous ways.
